BAM's collection of reference organisms includes micro-organisms and insects, which are relevant for the colonisation and/or decomposition of materials, and are used for standards checking and tests for industrial products.
BAM's micro-organisms are phenotypically and genotypically characterised, while the insects are morphologically characterised. They enable biological tests to be performed on a reliable and reproducible basis. Some of these organisms have already entered standardisation and are used in pre-normative workgroups or for research purposes in material destruction.
You can also commission us to perform standards checking and tests with reference organisms. Search under 'Organisms' in our Reference Organisms Database BAM Biomicrosearch for detailed information. Standards checking and the organisms used for this are listed under 'Standards'.
